Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update
Thanks to our youth and their adult assistants for a great Sunday Café following worship this last Sunday. I took notice that most of the Sanctuary congregation came to the Fine Center to share in pancakes, cookies, and more prepared by our youth. Jayde McCarrell continues to engage our young people in new ways. Our youth ministry is making steady and sustainable growth into the future.
Our Columbia mission team is moving into the heart of their time in service. Pastor Camille brought a great sermon on Sunday about Hagar from the book of Genesis. All of the members of our team are engaged and serving the Lord with joy. Let’s continue to keep them in prayer until they return home next week.
Take a moment to mark Saturday, September 14 on your calendar. We will be having our Town Hall meeting that morning at 9:00 a.m. with most of our time devoted to hearing the initial report from Mahlum Architects, who have been busy completing the pre-design work for North Queen Anne Childcare. We plan on having some of the families from the NQACC in attendance. As usual, we are asking folks from FFMC to bring some breakfast/brunch snacks with them to share. You can register at ffmc.org/events
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we continue our worship series, “Ancient Wisdom for Joyful Days.” This Sunday we will be focused on the importance of life and how we can hold dying with grace and joy. It will be an important word for us about the joy we have in Christ’s resurrection.
Grace to You All,
Pastor Craig Brown
