Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update

This Sunday we are celebrating the ministry of Pastor Camille Pook. It is an important time for us to give thanks to God for all the ways He has used Pastor Camille in the life of FFMC over these many years.

Pastor Camille came to FFMC while a student at SPU. Her commitment to the ministry and work of Jesus in our midst started then even though she did not become a member of our paid staff until 15 years ago and as an ordained pastor in 2022. While many in our church have had an experience of Camille as a member of the church, as a staff person, and eventually as a pastor, I have known her only in her capacity as a pastor.

She possesses many gifts of the Spirit which cultivate deeper relationships, both within the congregation and the community at large. She brings a smile and joy to the vision of Jesus’ work in our church. Working alongside her as a colleague has been a blessing to me as I have witnessed her faithfulness. I give thanks to God for her!

Pastor Camille will be preaching this Sunday at our 10:00 a.m. worship from Luke 12:27-34 and Jesus’ teaching about the Father’s care for us all. I am confident that God will bring an important word to us as we worship together.

Following worship, we will gather in the Upper Fine Center for refreshments and a reception. We will be hearing from a few folks in the FFMC community who will bear witness to Pastor Camille’s ministry. Following some sharing, we will have a time of prayer over Pastor Camille as we release her for new ministry.

If you have a card you would like to offer Pastor Camille, please bring it to worship this Sunday. There is a basket in the foyer to receive them. You can also bring any card by the church office, in-person or by mail, if you are unable to be with us on Sunday.

Join me in giving thanks to God for Pastor Camille’s remarkable ministry at FFMC!

Grace to You All,

Pastor Craig Brown
