Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update

The end of our fiscal year at FFMC is right around the corner on August 31, 2026. As we conclude our fiscal year, with just a week to go, I wanted to offer a few insights about where we stand.

  1. We will exceed our goal set for contributions for the fiscal year. Our Teller, Nancy Walker, shared with me that our giving for the year is very slightly over our goal with one week to go. I am thankful for all the dedicated faithfulness of everyone at FFMC expressed in your generous giving.
  2. Our deficit for the fiscal year remains. The budget approved for this year included a projected $147,000 deficit. The deficit was based on our church receiving all its projected contributions (which we have met) along with other income from facility rentals, etc. Any contributions above our projections for the year will simply reduce the deficit we already are carrying.
  3. While some of our expenses have been right on track, other costs have increased beyond what was budgeted. We do not know yet what our final deficit will be for the end of the fiscal year. We hope that be able to share some final information at our Town Hall Meeting on September 19.
  4. We continue to see an increase in the number of households giving to FFMC on a regular basis. This is encouraging news as the church is seeing slow but steady growth. When the Leadership Team approved the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, they included a very minor increase in contributions to account for this.

Any gifts FFMC receives by August 31 will be applied to our 2025-2026 fiscal year. Your gifts will help reduce our deficit and help the church as we prepare to live into a balanced budget for the coming year.

Continue to pray for our Finance Team, under the leadership of Josh Meier, and our Leadership Team, under the leadership of Margaret Diddams, as we navigate this season. We are hopeful to close this year on a positive note! Your generous giving does truly make a difference at FFMC.

Grace to you all,
