Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update

This Sunday we will have the great joy of celebrating everyone in our church who is graduating this year. Our worship will have time to celebrate those moving from elementary to middle school and middle school to high school. A special time in our worship has been set aside to celebrate with our high school, university, and trade school graduates. I know everyone in the FFMC family will want to be there to congratulate those moving into the next season of their lives.

We will also be launching our new five-week sermon series called “Treasure Matters.” This new series will explore generosity, stewardship, and caring about what matters. Graduate Sunday will center on the story of how Solomon took the mantle of leadership from his father King David. Our focus will be on how we share in rites of passage, especially for our graduates.

If you would like learn more about becoming a member of FFMC, I’ll be leading a luncheon and class on Sunday, June 9 right after worship. You can sign up at ffmc.org/events and the lunch is on us!

The leadership of FFMC has been hard at work on our planning and budget for our upcoming fiscal year beginning on September 1, 2024. The Leadership Team will be sharing much about our strategic plans for the coming year along with our budget at the FFMC Annual Meeting, which will take place immediately after worship on June 23, 2024. You can register for the meeting at ffmc.org/events.

Over these coming weeks, you can expect to hear from members of the Stewardship Team. We will be sharing some of the stories of how we see God at work in FFMC and how each of us can respond. I encourage all of us to be in prayer for this important effort surrounding our church’s financial support. Our entire staff and leadership give thanks to all of you who regularly support our church with your gifts. God is doing great things. It is a blessing to support all God is doing in Jesus’ Name!

Grace to You All,

Pastor Craig Brown
