Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update
IMPORTANT GIVING UPDATE
The end of this month (August) will be the end of our fiscal year. September 1st will open a new 12-month fiscal year budget which will help the church’s budget and North Queen Anne Childcare operate with greater efficiency. This new “school-year” type calendar is better matched with how the church does its regular ministry.
Beginning September 1st our Global Mission Fund and Local Mission Fund are going to be combined with our Ministry Operating Fund. Our Missions Committee and Leadership Team believe this is a better way to reflect how our church is committed to mission here locally and abroad. If you have been making contributions to these funds separately, know that they will be combined into “ONE Ministry Fund.”
We will now have a single fund called “ONE Ministry Fund” which will support our church’s budget that now includes our commitment to global and local mission. If you make your gift online (recommended), please check to be sure the designation of all your giving is for the “ONE Ministry Fund.” We are in the process of changing our offering envelopes and other materials to reflect this change.
If you have questions about your contributions, please contact our finance office at [email protected]. We will continue to send quarterly giving statements by mail based on the calendar year along with a regular end-of-the-year statement for tax purposes. In addition, we will be sending a monthly giving statement via email.
We are blessed to have received giving through July at 98% of our projection. With one remaining month before the fiscal year ends, I hope you will join me in keeping our giving current during these summer months. I am praying that we meet 100% of our giving goal by the end of August so that we start our new year with strong stewardship.
Thank you for your giving, support, and prayer for FFMC and its vital ministry. I look forward to starting the “new year” with great expectation of all that God is going to do!
Grace to You All,
Pastor Craig Brown
