Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update
We have a giving church.
I give thanks to the Lord for the culture of generosity which exists at FFMC. Week in and week out we have many dedicated people who serve in a variety of ways in the life of our church. Some of those tasks are apparent while others remain unseen.
Did you know we have a group of people who come in each Friday to prepare our weekly worship bulletins?
Did you know we have a person who comes each Monday to clean and stock our pews?
Did you know we have people who serve in youth ministry each week on Wednesday nights?
I could go on.
Last week, members of our staff organized a dinner gathering for all the staff at NQACC. They did this after hours and not on the clock. They did so because connecting with these younger adults is a key mission for our church. We had many who attended dinner and several who stayed later to share with our Friday night young adult gathering.
I’d encourage us all to give thanks for those who give in unseen ways. No recognition. No visibility. Just giving out of their own abundance. That is good news.
Grace to You All,
Pastor Craig Brown
