Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update

This last Sunday, I introduced our theme for the coming year at FFMC. “Built on Grace: Being Known & Loved” our central theme from now until June of 2026. Our focus is on relationships and how we might better become a “Relational Church.”

During this coming year, our Sunday worship will explore:

  • Relationships with the Triune God (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit)
  • Relationships in Life (Workplace, Marriages, Friendships, Neighborhoods)
  • Relationships with Tough Topics (War, Poverty, Housing, Creation Care)
  • Relationships in Conflict (Holding, Resolving, & Transforming Conflict)
  • Relationships in Christian Community (Trust, Accountability, Grace)

We chose “Built on Grace” as a statement on what we believe all relationships are based on: grace. Grace, rather than transactions, should guide who we are and who we relate to on a daily basis.

“Being Known & Loved” speaks into the very heart of our Christian witness. We believe that God wants us to be known to Him and loved by Him. That is also our goal in life with one another.

I look forward to sharing our memory verse with you this Sunday. We will be learning it over the next few weeks together. Here is your sneak peak for those who want to start early:

“Love each other like members of your family.

Be the best at showing honor to each other.”

            -Romans 12:10 (CEB)

I pray that our current series and our year-long emphasis will deepen every relationship in your life and guide all the new ones you may form.

Grace to You All,

Pastor Craig Brown
