Facility Redevelopment Update & Prayer Request

Dear FFMC Family,

As we close out 2025, we want to give you a brief, encouraging update on the campus redevelopment conversations that many of you have been praying about for several years.

Since the Annual Meeting in June, the Leadership Team (with the help of our real estate partner, Foundry Commercial) has been carefully reviewing formal offers from respected developers. All proposals would allow us to:

  1. Keep the sanctuary and a significant portion of the land around it
  2. Repurpose the Wilson Building area for future church ministry and parking needs
  3. Generate substantial funds to strengthen the four ministry priorities we named together in June:
    • Building long-term community on Queen Anne
    • Strengthening relationships with our commuting members
    • Serving the poorest and most vulnerable families in Seattle
    • Supporting students and younger adults in discipleship

We are currently shaping counterproposals that honor those four ministries focuses while also providing the space and financial margin we need to move forward with confidence.

No decisions have been made, and nothing will happen without clear congregational conversation and approval in the months ahead. But the path is becoming clearer, and we are grateful for God’s provision every step of the way.

Please keep praying:

  • For wisdom as we finalize the best option
  • For peace and unity in our church family
  • For everyone who currently uses our campus as we seek the Lord’s direction

We will share more details and next steps at a town hall-style meeting in early 2026 (date coming soon).

Thank you for your continued prayers and partnership. The best days of ministry at FFMC are still ahead.

Grace to You All,

Pastor Tim Root
