Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update

Transforming Conflict
We have been blessed to hear from two of our key global mission partners over the last few weeks. Both Rev. Haney Salah and Rev. Dr. Eric Spangler shared an important word for us about the ministry they are each doing in partnership with our church. Given so many of our global tensions, I encourage you to be in prayer for both and the teams they serve with in Asia and Middle East.

Our church has had a long commitment of supporting the work of these two missionaries, along with others, for decades. We are committed to God’s mission through our global and local mission partners through our church’s financial and prayer support.

One of the great blessings of sharing in the Free Methodist connection is our ability to band together as churches to support ministry of the Gospel. We are, through that connection, able to do far more than any one single church could accomplish both in the USA and abroad.

We currently allocate $78,000 for our support of global and local mission partners like Rev. Salah and Rev. Spangler. In addition, we set aside $112,125 to support the broader work of the Free Methodist Church, USA. Some quick math will reveal that we spend $190,125 of our annual budget for ministry and mission beyond our local church. That is over 11% of our total annual budget in the ONE Ministry Fund.

Our Leadership Team has made commitment to give these funds at a 100% level regardless of how our budget performs each year. I am so very blessed and proud, as your Lead Pastor, that we give beyond a 10% tithe in our church’s budget.

When you give to the ONE Ministry Fund at FFMC, you are directly supporting all these efforts. May we all hear God’s call to financially support the ministry of FFMC with full knowledge that our giving is producing a blessing here in Seattle, in the USA, and across the world in the Name of Jesus.

Grace to You All,

Pastor Craig Brown
