Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update

Bettina and I are so thankful to be serving the grace-filled community at FFMC. These last three years have been a deep source of joy for us as we have served in your midst.

Each person in our fellowship embodies the image of the divine, and we see it on display time after time. From congregational meetings to casual conversations, the kindness and love of God shine through you. It is an honor to serve as your pastor into this fourth year. Thanks be to God!

We will be away for the next few weeks while I am, first, speaking at the Christian Ashram near Santa Cruz, CA in the mighty redwoods. (I’ll already be there as you read this!) In case you may not know the Christian Ashram started by the Methodist Evangelist E. Stanley Jones, you can find out more here: https://christianashram.org

Following the Ashram, Bettina and I will vacation in Boston and Maine before returning home for a few days. I’ll then be off to central Pennsylvania to visit friends, play golf, and relax. My first Sunday back with you will be July 27.

I am thankful for the gifted preachers who will share the Word of the Lord with you each week while I am away. They will be kicking off our summer worship series “Water & Spirit” as we explore great stories from the Bible involving water.

  • July 6 – Rev. Camille Pook
  • July 13 – Rev. Zach Jacobsen
  • July 20 – Rev. Dr. Allison Coventry

The summer and autumn will be an exciting time for our church as we see God’s mighty hand unfold. Know you are all in my prayers during this time of renewal and refreshment for me. May you find the same.

Grace to You All,

Pastor Craig Brown
