Pastor’s eNote: Weekly Update

Greetings to you all in the Name of Jesus, the Living Lord.

I am so very thankful for those we were able to celebrate during worship on Sunday. There are countless people helping and serving every week at FFMC. It was a joy to give thanks for their dedication. As I mentioned in worship on Sunday, we will be celebrating those who serve on our elected teams and committees this fall, our choir members and our band in June, and our “silent servants” in January. These moments to give thanks for those who serve have great value for us. It gives us a moment to pause for gratitude which is often all too absent in our world.

It is always a joy to welcome Dr. Doug Strong to the pulpit on Sunday, May 5 for the sermon. Doug will be closing out our series on The Art of Holy Living. I know his message will inspire and encourage all of us. On May 12 (Mother’s Day), I’ll be kicking off our new three-week series called Divine Dance as we explore the Holy Trinity and how God is always and everywhere coming to us.

We have three great celebrations coming up over the next two months which will be important for us all. May 19 will be Baptism Sunday. If you would like to discuss being baptized, we are happy to speak with you as soon as possible. June 2 will be Graduate Sunday, when we will recognize those graduating from High School or University. We will also be receiving new members on June 30. For those who want to know more about being a member at FFMC, I hope you will join our class/lunch on June 9. You can find all three celebrations at ffmc.org/events.

I pray that you each experience the deep and abiding love of God in Jesus Christ this week. The Lord is moving in the life of FFMC. May you each receive His grace in new ways!

Grace to You All,

Pastor Craig Brown
